#Dontrushchallenge : How to Style a Classic White Tee + Fave Denim

Amid the stay at home order, 5 DMV fashion and stylist bloggers and I have come together for the #Dontrushchallenge. Have you seen it all over the internet? With social distancing guidelines still in full effect, people on social media are getting creative with different collective virtual challenges.

We use a fashion magazine as the object to pass to transition the videos from woman to woman. We each start our video wearing our morning attire. We cover the camera with a magazine to “transform” ourselves to a being 'ready' and dressed in a white tee and jeans. We then each add our accents and accessories to make full looks. Each of our styles is so unique!

Ironically, in the #DontRushChallenge videos, the edits make it look like we get ready and dressed within seconds (and let's be real it can take SOME time).

Check out how our diverse group of women give a white tee and denim a new lewk! 👇✨

The trend is called the #DontRush Challenge because the videos are set to the song "Don't Rush" by Young T & Bugseyfeaturing Headie One.

TEE SHIRT + FAVORITE DENIM

= THE PERFECT OUTFIT BASE

Neutral staples in EVERY closet and a blank canvas for thousands of looks.

How do you style your white tees? When was the last time you bought yourself a crispy fresh white tee?

You probably need a new one. Look no further. This Vince Little Boy Short Sleeve T-Shirt is the tee shirt most of us are wearing in the video. And there’s a reason for it. It is soft, quality fabric, and ideal fit. Trust.

Start with your outfit base and use accents and accessories to take the look WHEREVER you want to go with it- for any occasion. You can dress it down with athleisure, wear it by itself for a minimalist look, add a blazer to make it business casual- the list goes on and on!

The power of accessory vignettes comes into play here. Accessories act as opportunities for self-expression.  Accessory vignettes are groups of accessories that always work together, and they can streamline your styling process.

Take off the pajama pants & get dressed- because YOU ARE WORTH IT..png

GET DRESSED.

While you're probably not going to go anywhere that requires getting dressed up anytime soon, I encourage you to PLAY DRESS UP. Find your favorite white tee and jeans and see how many different looks you can make!

The whole essence of the challenge is to connect virtually and show different ways to style a classic white tee and our favorite jeans. Us bloggers and stylists are here for it to give YOU the inspiration to get dressed because you owe it yourself. Sometimes, getting all dressed up (even with nowhere to go) is what you need to get through the rest of quarantine.
